Joey Kalico was born Febuary 2nd 1993 in Farmington Michigan. He grew up in the small town of Redford Michigan a few miles outside of Detroit. Joey has always had a love for music and poetry. While he was in school, Joey never had very good grades because he focused his time on writing lyrics and making people laugh. in 2014, he started a rock n' roll band called Rolling Blue. The band was off to a slow start but would begin to gain popularity in the local area. Due to Covid, live shows became a thing of the past and Joey started a TikTok channel to experiment with his other talents. Little did he know, he had a future of parody songs ahead of him.
The Content Creator
After finding his niche as a parody song writer, Joey began his journey as a content creator. What started as something that was just for fun, has turned into a full-time career. After receiving millions of views, likes, and shares on all platforms, he remains grateful for his friends, fans, and followers.
Kalico's Inspirations
Joey has always changed the words in songs ever since he could talk. As a toddler, he changed the words in the Barney theme song to "clean up, clean up, everybody else". Maybe he was a genius, or maybe he was just lazy... Either way, he would grow up to listen to the greats. Heywood Banks, Tenacious D, and above all else Weird Al.
